Bowling

Our classic ten lane ten-pin bowling alley is a firm favourite and can be enjoyed by all. A maximum of 6 people can bowl on a lane but you can simply book more lanes if you are planning a larger group visit. Bumpers are available for beginners and children, and we also have two ramps available should you need that extra bit of help, (it is advisable to book one of these in advance). The bowling lanes are also fully accessible to wheelchair users.

We ask that all players wear socks and bowling shoes for hygiene reasons, we can provide bowling shoes free of charge and the sizes available range from a children's size 7 to an adults size 15!

During rainy days and at school holidays our bowling lanes sell out fast, so when you have a date in mind please call us on 01834 891622 to make a reservation.

The aim of the game is for each player to knock down all of the pins. Each player has two attempts to do this. If the player manages to knock all of the pins down on the first attempt then this is called a strike. If it takes two attempts to knock down all of the pins then this is called a spare. We have a computerised scoring system to keep track of your scores so there's no maths involved! The score is the number of pins that the player knocks down on each go. If you are lucky enough to get a strike or a spare then you will score bonus points with your next ball. If an F appears on the screen then the player has stepped on the foul line and your score from that attempt will be void.

Printed copies of your scores are available on request at the Bowl Reception.
